Ali Pasha Sabanagic Way - Street Naming Ceremony

Zara Kandic through Collective Work of Sisters petitioned to co-name 12th street, the street where Ali Pasha Mosque is a second home to many Bosniak New Yorkers. Ali Pasha Sabanagic (Ali Pashë Gucia) was a prominent 19th-century Albanian landowner and military leader from Gusinje who led armed resistance against the ceding of Albanian-inhabited territories to Montenegro after the 1878 Congress of Berlin and is an inspiration figure to the Bosniak Community.
